(VOVworld) – The global economy is welcoming many positive signs as statistics released by the big economies in Europe, the US, and the Republic of Korea, all show a strong recovery pace, said the UK Financial Times on its Thursday edition.
The latest survey from the CBI, the UK employers’ organization, shows 42 per cent of respondents reporting sales volumes this month increased on the previous year, with only 12 per cent saying they were down. In Germany, confidence in the business environment rose in April, beating economists’ forecasts of a fall for Europe’s largest economy.
The US, the global leading economy, has also seen positive signs as orders for durable goods rose again after falling periods in December and January. The Commerce Department’s statistics show an increase of 2.6% in March, 2% higher than that in February and that forecast by economists.
