(VOVworld) – Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen attended the program “People ask, ministers answer” on Sunday to discuss the theme “Month for the Poor”.

She explained policies concerning the categorizing of poor households, the building of new poverty criteria with a multidimensional approach, and policies to achieve sustainable poverty reduction. The minister said there is almost no difference between poor and near poor households so there should be more policies to support near poor households, particularly in mountainous, remote, and ethnic areas. She added that priority will be given to capital loans, job generation, and labor exports.
