(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Information and Communications held a training course for reporters in preparations for the upcoming 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly, IPU-132 to be held in Hanoi from March 28 to April 1.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung said media agencies needed to develop specific communication plans to update information regarding the event: “It is essential to provide updates and timely information with regard to the IPU-132. The information must reflect the active and effective role of Vietnam’s National Assembly in IPU activities and the IPU’s role in fostering cooperation. The mass media needs to report on Vietnam’s diplomatic and social security policies”.
Ngo Duc Manh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for External Affairs, briefed the participants on the importance of organizing IPU-132, the number of representatives from participant countries and Vietnam’s preparations for the event.
