President attends mid-autumn festival celebration in Binh Phuoc
(VOVWORLD) - President Vo Van Thuong shared joy with children during a mid-autumn festival celebration in Binh Phuoc province on Wednesday.

Held from September 19-29, the event is underway with various activities, such as the presentation of over 5 million lanterns and gifts to disadvantaged, orphan, COVID-19-hit children and those in remote, mountainous and island areas from 22 cities and provinces.
In his address, President Vo Van Thuong reiterated the Vietnamese Party and State's special attention to children education, care and protection which he said is the strategic task for the sustainable national development.
President Thuong praised the children's outstanding academic results despite their difficulties. He expressed his wish that the children will continue to study and achieve better results.
The same day, the President attended the inauguration of the reading space and presented gifts to pupils in Tan Xuan C Primary School in Dong Xoai city.
100 children, including 50 who lost their parents due to COVID-19 and 50 disadvantaged children from Binh Phuoc received Mid-Autumn gifts and scholarships worth 2 million VND (83 USD) each from the President.
