President Tran Dai Quang

The President described the event as a milestone in Vietnamese people’s warfare art and powerful staunchness of the people in the Ho Chi Minh era. Mr. Quang said 50 years after the historical victory, the world is changing fast and Vietnam has seen significant growth. This context requires the whole Party, people and army to strive more and turn challenges into opportunities for comprehensive national development in politics, economics, culture, social, national defense, security, and foreign affairs. Social economic development is put in the center, Party building is pivotal, cultural and human building as a spiritual foundation, and national defense and security are crucial and regular.

The President believed that with the spirit of fighting for absolute success of the 1968 Spring Mau Than General Offensive and Uprising, the whole Party, army and people will achieve the national targets of prosperous people, strong country, democracy, equality and civilization, firmly advancing towards socialism.
