President Phuc expressed his empathy for losses caused by the storm and asked local authorities and Vietnam Red Cross to help people restore their accommodation and early resumption of normal life as well as school facilities.

During a meeting with local leaders, Deputy Prime Minister Thanh asked for a review of affected infrastructure for allocation of recovery resources, especially damage in electricity grids and health clinics. He asked for preparedness as more storms are forecast.
