President Quang and Bangladeshi President Abdul Hamid highlighted the need to promote the traditional friendship between their two peoples, support each other at international forums, and reinforce their pragmatic ties for mutual benefit, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

Meeting Speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, President Quang asked Ms. Chaudhury to promote the exchange of high-ranking visits and meetings while joining hands in organizing activities marking the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties. He proposed promoting bilateral cooperation mechanisms, boosting bilateral trade and creating favorable conditions for their businesses. He urged the two countries to boost cooperation in agriculture, seafood, education, training and tourism, and soon launch a direct air route.

During a reception for Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Bangladesh Rashed Khan Menon, President Quang suggested that both sides share information and Party building experience, and work closely together at multilateral political forums in the region and the world. Mr. Menon said he wants to boost cooperation in sharing theoretical, Party and national development experience with Vietnam.

At a meeting with President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Shafiul Islam, President Quang said Vietnam attaches great importance to promoting its traditional friendship and cooperation with Bangladesh. He suggested that the two business circles make greater efforts, and that the FBCCI serve as a bridge connecting the businesses of the two countries.
