President urges firms of Vietnam, Bangladesh to create impetus for trade ties
(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang has urged businesses in Vietnam and Bangladesh to devise innovative ideas, thus creating new momentum for stronger trade and investment links between the two countries.

Addressing the Vietnam-Bangladesh Business Forum in Dhaka on Tuesday as part of his State visit to Bangladesh, Mr. Quang said Vietnam always attaches importance to boosting the traditional relationship and cooperation with Bangladesh, and is willing to share experience in the fields of its strength. He said Vietnam continues to be an attractive investment destination for foreign investors and Vietnamese businesses are developing in terms of scale and access to new global technologies. The President emphasized that Vietnam encourages investment in Bangladesh, especially in telecoms, IT, agriculture, food processing, garment, oil and gas, consumer goods and infrastructure. President Quang said Vietnam highly values the potential and opportunities for investment partnership in Bangladesh.
Before attending the Vietnam – Bangladesh business forum, President Quang attended the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Culture Days event in Bangladesh on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties (1973-2018).
Later the same day, the President left Dhaka, successfully concluding his three-day State visit to Bangladesh at the invitation of President Abdul Hamid.
