President meets voters in district 4 of Ho Chi Minh city
(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang met with voters in district 4 of Ho Chi Minh city on Tuesday. He briefed them on the outcomes of the just concluded session of the National Assembly. Topics for discussion at the session included increasing macro-management, removing obstacles for businesses, finding outlets for farm produce, controlling bad debt, and inflation control. National Assembly deputies approved 9 draft laws and 8 resolutions and conducted a vote of confidence on 47 posts previously elected or ratified by the National Assembly.
President Sang and the National Assembly deputies of Ho Chi Minh city also met with voters representing the city’s businesses. The President hailed their opinions in the economic sector and said their suggestions provided important information for the deputies. He added that the Party and State are trying to seek new markets through free trade negotiations with the EU, the Republic of Korea and the Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan Tax Alliance. He asked the businesses to be united and cooperate to facilitate production: “The city’s businesses should cooperate and support each other. Business associations and banks should also be involved in removing difficulties for businesses be they state-owned or private.”
