President pays pre-Tet visit to Kon Tum
(VOVWORLD) -President Tran Dai Quang paid a Lunar New Year (Tet) visit to Kon Tum province on Friday as part of his Central Highlands tour to mark the 88th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 50th anniversary of the Spring 1968 General Offensive.
President Quang visited officers and soldiers at the Ro Koi Border Guard post in Sa Thay district, where he applauded them for protecting the national sovereignty. He called on them to continue implementing effectively the resolutions and directives of the Party, State and army on protecting the national border and building a cleaner Party. The same day, President Quang paid a pre-Tet visit to authorities and people in Ro Koi commune. He praised the commune’s recent achievements in agricultural restructuring, education, healthcare, and security.
