President presents appointment decisions to ambassadors, heads of representative agencies abroad
(VOVWORLD) - President Vo Van Thuong on Tuesday handed over appointment decisions to 26 ambassadors and heads of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad for 2024-2027, and assigned them their tasks.

President Thuong asked the diplomats to closely follow the guidelines and policies of the Party and State in all fields, especially in foreign affairs, and to keep a close watch on the situation at home and in host countries in order to provide information for the Party and the State to build a unified foreign policy and enhance external relations.
He said foreign relations should serve economic development. Cultural diplomacy should be prioritized as it plays a crucial role in promoting the image of Vietnam and its people.
The leader also requested the diplomats to promote multilateral diplomacy, and actively and responsibly participate in international mechanisms and forums.
