Addressing a ceremony in Hanoi to mark the professional technique force's 70th founding anniversary, July 1, the President requested greater efforts to build a clean, strong, regular, and elite force, to advance to modernity by 2025, meeting mission requirements amid regional and global uncertainties which are challenging the task of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.        

“Continue to promote the important role of technical and professional measures in protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety. It’s imperative to proactively grasp and closely forecast the situation, promptly advise on preventive measures and solutions, prevent plots and activities that violate security and order, and avoid being caught by surprise in any situation," President To Lam said.

President To Lam requested the Professional Technical Force to improve the effectiveness of applying scientific and technological achievements; promote self-reliance; coordinate well with the People's Army and the nation's scientific, technical and technological forces to improve the effectiveness of science, technology and professionalism. He also stressed the need to cooperate with other countries to keep abreast with advanced technical technologies in the world.
