(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang has received Spanish Ambassador Alfonso Tena Garcia, whose term of mission in Vietnam comes to an end.

At the reception in Hanoi on Friday, the President said Vietnam treasured the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Spain, an important member of the EU. He suggested both countries increase exchanges of high-level delegations and map out an action program for future cooperation, particularly in economics.

The Ambassador said he believed that once the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement takes effect, there will be more investment in Vietnam. He voiced his country’s support for Vietnam’s candidacy to major positions at international forums.
