(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang received the visiting Minister-President of the French Community of Belgium, Rudy Demotte, in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Mr. Quang praised Wallonia’s cooperation with Vietnam, the sole country in Asia that the Belgian region has a representative office in. He said he hopes the region will continue its development assistance to Vietnam and cooperate with Vietnamese businesses in such areas as biological technology, renewable energy, mechanics, and logistics.

Mr. Demotte said the bright spot in Vietnamese-Wallonian cooperation is in education and training and suggested that both sides boost cooperation in healthcare, environment, and tourism. He added that he believes Vietnam will contribute more to the common development of the French speaking community.
