President: “Russian October Revolution important to Vietnam revolution”
(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang has published an article hailing the significance of the Russian October Revolution as a valuable lesson with strong reverberation on Vietnam’s economy and progressive mankind.

The President’s writing to mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution discussed the socialist revolution launched by Russian proletariats, resulting in the birth of the Soviet Russian state, the first workers-farmers state in the world, opening up a new stage in international communist and workers movements as well as national liberation. Creatively applying experience and historical lessons of the Russian October Revolution, the Communist Party of Vietnam under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh led the Vietnamese August Revolution to its success in 1945. It uprooted feudalism and colonialist regime to found the Democratic Republic of Vietnam leading Vietnam to win Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954, the great success of the Spring Victory in 1975 and national unification, and fulfillment of international obligations. The President urged the Vietnamese Party, people and army to push forward comprehensive reform, where social economic development is at the center, Party building is crucial, cultural and human development as spiritual foundation, while continuously strengthening national defense and security.
