(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang on Thursday had bilateral meetings with several leaders attending the APEC meeting in Da Nang.
Mr. Quang and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto agreed on measures to continue fostering and broadening bilateral ties in politics-diplomacy, economy-trade-investment, culture, and science-technology.

At a reception for Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea Peter O'Neill, President Quang said Vietnam is willing to support and share experience to help Papua New Guinea fulfil its role as host of the APEC Year 2018.

President Tran Dai Quang and Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski talked about regional and global issues of shared concern and consented to continue coordination at the UN, APEC, the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) and other multilateral cooperation frameworks.
At a meeting with Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, the two leaders agreed to foster solidarity and maintain the central role of ASEAN in major issues related to security and the interests of each member state and the whole region.
