(VOVworld) - President Tran Dai Quang has urged the Supreme People’s Procuracy to reform its working method, ensure law enforcement, and uphold the rule of law.

At a meeting in Hanoi on Tuesday with the agency’s key officials, President Tran Dai Quang, who is also head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, asked the sector to improve its apparatus in line with the 2014 Law on Organization of People’s Procuracy and finalize its organizational plan until 2020 to submit to the Politburo for consideration.

President Tran Dai Quang said: “The sector should pay attention to the training in politics, professions, the law, foreign languages, economics, science, and technology. It’s necessary to develop a team of procurators with firm political spirit, job proficiency, a good command of legal documents, a sense of justice, discipline, and responsibility. It’s also essential to reform working styles, enhance discipline and rules while carrying out duties.”
