President Truong Tan Sang attends inauguration of Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc pagoda
(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang attended the inauguration of the Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc pagoda in Cao Bang province on Monday. President Sang is in Cao Bang to attend the 70
th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 25
th anniversary of the All People’s National Defense Festival.
President Sang also attended the inauguration of the Sai Gon-Ban Gioc Resort, a cooperative project between Ho Chi Minh City and Cao Bang province. President Sang praised the builders for ensuring the quality and schedule of the two projects which will contribute to improving the lives of local people.
The same day, President Truong Tan Sang presented 50 breeding cows to poor people in the Chi Vien, Dam Thuy and Phong Nam communes of Trung Khanh district. This gift is part of a program to give 24,000 breeding cows to poor people in 11 northern border provinces launched in June by the Viettel Military Communications Group and several other ministries and agencies. Later, President Sang visited and wished Bishop Tran Duc Hanh and Catholic followers in Thanh Son diocese a Merry Christmas.
