(VOVworld)- Binh Duong province held its 10^th Party Congress on Monday. President Truong Tan Sang, former President Nguyen Minh Triet, and Party Secretary, and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission Ha Thi Khiet attended the event.

In his address, President Truong Tan Sang asked Binh Duong province to strengthen economic restructuring and change the growth model to increase productivity, quality, economic efficiency and competitiveness. He stressed the need to improve the investment environment, prioritize the development of high tech and environmentally friendly industries. Sang said:“The province needs to review its development plans and combine them with regional plans to create inter-regional connectivity. It’s important to focus on upgrading infrastructure, environmental protection, human resource training and applying science and technology. The Provincial Party Committee needs to be resolute in developing Binh Duong into a modern, civilized urban area”.
