(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang met with voters in district 1 of Ho Chi Minh city on Saturday prior to the 9^th session of the 13^th National Assembly.

The President said after 30 years of renovation, Vietnam has gained considerable achievements with its increasingly important role in the international arena, but there still remain some shortcomings. The voters made recommendations on industrial development and contributed opinions to documents to be submitted to the upcoming 12^th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Regarding the National Assembly’s supervisory role, President Truong Tan Sang said in recent years, this work has not been very effective, thus it is essential to improve its quality in the coming time. While mentioning revision of some draft Laws including the revised Civil Code, President Sang said the Code has great impact on the people, thus the draft Law will be open for public discussion to be more effective.
