(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang on Wednesday praised Nghe An authorities in their efforts to help improve local people’s living conditions.

During a Tet visit to the province, President Sang presented Tet gifts to the poor and victims of Agent Orange in My Son and Nhan Son communes. At a meeting with Military Zone No 4, the President spoke highly of their endeavors in cultivating political awareness among officers and soldiers and proactively contributing to new rural development. He urged Nghe An’s armed forces to improve its vigilance, remain prepared to handle social disorder, and promote external defense relations, especially ties between Vietnam and Laos.
