(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang received late on Tuesday Angola’s Interior Minister, Angelo de Barros Tavares, who is on a visit to Vietnam. At the reception, Minister Tavares briefed President Sang on the results of his meeting with Minister of Public Security, Tran Dai Quang, in which both sides shared their experiences in security training activities as well as devised bilateral cooperation strategy for the long run.

President Sang said that both countries should expand cooperation in various fields including economics, trade, and investment, and promptly organize an intergovernmental committee meeting. Sang expressed his hope that both countries would continue to support each other at international forums, asking the Angolan government to create favorable for Vietnamese people living in Angola. He wished Angola success in its reconstruction and development in the future.
