President Vo Van Thuong meets Da Nang voters
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s GDP is expected to reach 5% this year, failing to meet the set target but receiving international praise as a spotlight of the world economy amid multiple challenges, said President Vo Van Thuong.

At a meeting with voters in Da Nang on Tuesday following the recent NA meeting, President Thuong said Vietnam’s social security is ensured while its external relationship activities have been bustling and fruitful.
Vietnam has established diplomatic ties with 193 countries and a ‘comprehensive strategic partnership’, ‘strategic partnership’ and ‘comprehensive partnership’ with 30 countries.
“I have participated in several bilateral and multilateral activities in China, the US, Japan and the UK. Our partners praised Vietnam’s efforts to overcome difficulties to become a spotlight in the world economy. Vietnam has a foreign policy of diversification and multilateralization, while campaigning for peace, cooperation and development with the spirit of being a friend, and a reliable partner in the world economy,” he said.
