(VOVWORLD) - President Vo Van Thuong and his wife left Fukuoka, Japan on Thursday for Hanoi, successfully wrapping up his official visit to Japan which was made at the invitation of the Japanese State.

Prior to leaving Fukuoka, President Thuong visited Kyushu University and met outstanding Vietnamese students there. Kyushu University is one of Japan’s top 5 public universities.

There are 53 Vietnamese students doing their masters and post-graduate degrees there.
Mr. Thuong encouraged Vietnamese students to enhance efforts in learning and support each other to build a stronger Vietnamese community and contribute to Vietnamese-Japanese relations.
He welcomed Kyushu University’s intention to expand training programs for Vietnamese students through cooperation programs with Vietnamese educational institutions.
