President witnesses US Quantum Group’s deal with Vietnamese joint venture
(VOVWORLD) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Wednesday met Arun Savkur, CEO of the US’s Quantum Group, in New York and witnessed a cooperation agreement between Quantum and a Vietnamese joint venture – that of the Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC) and the Saigon Telecom Technology Joint Stock Company (SAIGONTEL).

Savkur said Quantum is committed to contributing to Vietnam’s development with a series of projects worth as much as 30 billion USD. Quantum wants to support Vietnam’s COVID-19 fight by operating healthcare facilities that combine the West’s cutting-edge technology and Oriental traditional medicine. Savkur said Quantum intends to invest in building a center in Vietnam for COVID-19 vaccine production. He said he is optimistic that Quantum’s investment projects in Vietnam will bolster Vietnam-US economic relations.
President Phuc praised Quantum’s achievements around the world, and said Quantum’s investment projects in Vietnam are of strategic importance, especially those in high-tech industrial production and infrastructure. He encouraged Quantum to invest in biotechnology research and other healthcare-related projects.
