(VOVWORLD) - The price of Vietnamese rice for export went up 15 USD per tonne on Sunday as countries rush to stockpile more food amid global political and economic uncertainties.
5% broken rice produced in Vietnam was traded at 473 USD per tonne and 25% broken rice at 453 USD, the highest over the past 2 years.
The Vietnam Food Association said that major importers like China, the Philippines, and African countries are buying more rice from Vietnam.
