He made the request while chairing a conference in Hanoi Wednesday to review the status of the SOE restructuring process and on the year progress. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked all relevant ministries, agencies, and State-owned corporations to tightly monitor capital disbursement to avoid waste and poor results and fine-tune mechanisms and policies to remove remaining obstacles to SOE restructuring.
Nguyen Tan Dung also urged the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to take appropriate steps to deal with any unemployment that may result from corporate equitisation. He called on the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to design policies to support ethnic people involved in afforestation and the industry’s restructuring.
