Prime Minister chairs investment conference in Lai Chau
(VOVworld) – Lai Chau has great potential for economic development thanks to its abundant water source, seafood and agricultural produce, and large amount of rare earth, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at an investment promotion conference in Lai Chau on Saturday.

Mr. Phuc said the uniqueness of ethnic groups and beautiful natural beauty are other potentials that the province should take advantage to develop tourism. He also urged Lai Chau to conduct administrative reforms and improve its business environment: “It is essential to facilitate business activities in the province, carry out administrative reform and create open investment environment. Lai Chau province should consider investors’ benefits as theirs”.
The Prime Minister asked Lai Chau province to maintain good relations with neighboring localities, including China’s Yunnan and Guangxi to expand its consumption markets and assure national security.
Mr. Phuc confirmed government’s support for Lai Chau to develop its infrastructure, firstly in the road linking Lai Chau province with Hanoi-Lao Cai highway and inter-provincial roads.
