At a national conference commending outstanding individuals held in Hanoi on Wednesday, Prime Minister Phuc said: “We treasure and admire efforts by war invalids, martyrs’ relatives, and national contributors, who have upheld the revolutionary heroism, overcome losses and illness, and continued to devote their energy and wisdom to build a richer family, homeland, and country. Once again, we warmly welcome and honor these 700 outstanding people, who represent millions of contributors all over Vietnam.”
The national conference was jointly held by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, the Nhan Dan Newspaper, and the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee.
On the occasion of the 70th War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), 70 outstanding revolutionary contributors nationwide were granted with the Prime Minister’s certificates of merit.
