(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc delivered a speech and answered several questions on Tuesday of the second day of the International Conference on the Future of Asia themed “Globalism at a crossroad-Asia’s next move” in Tokyo.

Mr. Phuc’s speech highlighted Asia’s key role to globalization and pointed out the major challenges Asia is facing.
Japan’s Nikkei newspaper quoted PM Phuc’s speech and praised his commitment to improving Vietnam's legal framework for investment toward greater unity and transparency.
Other Japanese newspapers, including the Nihon, Keizai, and Jiji, quoted PM Phuc as saying that Vietnam will work closely with other countries to salvage the Trans-Pacific Partnership, an important regional deal from which the US recently withdrew.
