(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s visits to France, Belgium and the EU have brought practical and effective results.

According to Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc, the visits enhanced ties with France, Belgium, UNESCO, and the EU, who are important partners in politics, economics, security, and culture. Vietnam also promotes relations with other traditional partners like Germany, the UK, Netherlands, Brazil, Cuba, Indonesia and Cambodia. Mr. Ngoc said Prime Minister Dung’s participation in COP21 was an important multilateral diplomatic activity. The Deputy Foreign Minister said the World Bank President and Director of the Global Environment Fund pledged to support Vietnam in dealing with climate change.
During Prime Minister Dung’s visit, Belgium pleged to assist Vietnam in an afforestation project. The signing of the Europe-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement during the visit opened great opportunities for cooperation in trade and investment.
