th and 29
th ASEAN Summits and related meetings at the invitation of Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith.

th, the Prime Minister attended 35 meetings and dialogues including 11 high-level meetings between ASEAN members and ASEAN and partners. On the sidelines of the summit, the PM had 10 meetings with leaders of ASEAN and partner countries and international organizations including the US, Thailand, the UN Chief, the International Monetary Fund, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Myanmar, and the Philippines. On the occasion, Prime Minister paid courtesy visits to former Lao leaders. According to Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s proactive participation at the 28
th and 29
th summits and related meetings as well as bilateral and multilateral meetings proved that Vietnam is a proactive, dynamic, and responsible member of ASEAN who is ready to work with other countries to cope with regional and global challenges, increase mutual understanding, strengthen political trust, and enhance cooperation.
