Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc delivers his speech in during the expanded G7 Summit
(VOVworld) - Vietnam welcomes priorities in the G7 summit agenda as they contribute to peace, stability and sustainable development.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told the first session of the expanded G7 Summit in Japan that Vietnam appreciates initiatives to promote infrastructure for social economic development. He called for more support from the G7 and multinational organization in the management and protection of water resources as well as climate change response, especially in the Mekong River delta.
The Prime Minister welcomed Japan’s initiatives to ensure peace and stability in Middle East as well as gender equality and healthcare. He warned of increasing challenges facing peace and stability, maritime and aviation safety and security in the East Sea due to unilateral changes of the status quo and reclamation of land to build artificial island and military activities. Vietnam and the ASEAN welcomed G7’s strong voice to support freedom of navigation and aviation in the East Sea, settling of disputes by peaceful means in compliance with international law. Vietnam wishes G7 and the international community to contribute responsibly to peace and stability in the Asia Pacific and the world.
