(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc held a bilateral meeting on Saturday with Brunei Darussalam Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah on the occasion of the 30^th ASEAN Summit in the Philippines.

The two leaders agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, and tourism and improve the performance of the Committee for Bilateral Cooperation at the Foreign Ministerial Level, the Navy Working Group, and other bilateral cooperation mechanisms. Prime Minister Phuc urged Brunei to increase its investment in Vietnam in infrastructure, energy, food processing for exports, and oil and gas exploitation. He asked Brunei to facilitate Vietnamese enterprises to invest in oil and gas and related services and farm produce in Brunei.
