Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc: Vietnam to stay focused on renewal
(VOVworld) – On Wednesday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with representatives of global financial institutes and businesses inside and outside Vietnam on the sideline of the Vietnam Summit 2016.

Mr. Phuc said he hoped the summit will help them understand the development and integration policies and strategies of Vietnam and find more business opportunities here. He said Vietnam is restructuring its economy, implementing “breakthrough steps” to renew its growth model, actively integrating and taking part in the global production value chain, and striving to raise economic development to new heights. Mr. Phuc said: "Vietnam is determined to renew itself and build an incorruptible and constructive government to serve the people and businesses. The government is creating the best possible environment for businesses, considering their success our success. Vietnam is actively working to improve its business and investment environment by building infrastructure, developing human resources, and boosting fair competition to create optimal conditions for enterprises to invest and do business here."
The Prime Minister said the government is working to create a legal framework in line with market mechanisms and international practices. The Vietnam Summit 2016 will discuss Vietnam’s position in the global economy, the future of the manufacturing sector, rice production, industrial production, and the investment environment. The Summit seeks to show the world that Vietnam is determined to comprehensively reform its economy over the next five years.
