Prime Minister pays Lunar New Year visit to Vinh Long
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, presented gifts and extended Lunar New Year wishes to officials and people of the southern province of Vinh Long.

He gave gifts to trade unionists and workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Hoa Phu Industrial Park, Long Ho district. He also gave gifts to policy families and households severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and handed over 100 houses to disadvantaged households in Vung Liem and Tam Binh districts.
Prime Minister Chinh urged Vinh Long province continue to promote its achievements and together with the whole country to effectively implement the Strategy on COVID-19 Prevention and Control and the Socio-Economic Development and Recovery Program.
As Tet nears, Vinh Long needs to pay more attention to and mobilize resources to take care of the policy beneficiaries, especially people with meritorious services, poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households, ethnic minorities, orphans, and workers in special circumstances, he said. Mr. Chinh called on Vinh Long to coordinate with other provinces and cities to organize transportation for workers who want to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet, ensuring that all people enjoy a joyful, safe and healthy Tet.
During their business trip to Vinh Long province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong offered incense and planted trees at the Memorial Complex of Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung in Long Ho district and at the Memorial Complex of Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet in Vung Liem district.
