In an interview with the press after the visit, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said the visit was a great success with many important results achieved. Specifically, political trust between the two countries has been strengthened, creating a foundation for furthering the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

During the visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held talks and had meetings with all four top leaders of China: Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji and Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning.

Senior leaders of the two sides emphasized the importance of properly handling and well controlling disagreements, so that the partnership between Vietnam and China will develop stably, healthily and effectively. In particular, General Secretary and President Xi affirmed that developing relations with Vietnam is China's strategic choice and China attaches great importance to developing long-term relations with Vietnam.

The two sides also agreed to improve the quality of economic, trade and investment cooperation, boost transport connectivity, especially in railways, roads, and border gate infrastructure, improve customs clearance efficiency, maintain smooth trade, and ensure production and supply chains. They agreed to restore people-to-people exchange activities, including the Vietnam-China People's Forum, the Youth Festival, and the Friendship Meeting.

The Prime Minister also attended and delivered a speech at the Vietnam-China Business Forum with a large number of Chinese businesses and met with friendship association representatives and many Chinese business people.

Foreign Minister Son affirmed that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's attendance of the World Economic Forum Tianjin meeting this year has contributed to substantially promote the relationship between Vietnam and the WEF. The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) until 2026.

The Prime Minister's meetings with leaders of other countries at WEF Tianjin further deepened the relationship between Vietnam and Mongolia, New Zealand, and Barbados. The Vietnamese delegation’s participation in many meetings and exchanges with leaders of leading corporations conveyed to the global business community the achievements, potentials, strengths, goals and development orientations of Vietnam.
