In his reception for the Boeing Executive Vice President, the Prime Minister praised recent major deals between Vietnamese airliners and Boeing, saying that Vietnam has a need to buy more new airplanes and work towards a target of 50 million foreign tourists per year, creating huge potential for its aviation industry to grow. He called for more cooperation between Boeing and Vietnamese airlines in airplanes maintenance and added that Vietnam wants to promote its direct flight to the US for more cooperation.

In his reception for the Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings plc., the Prime Minister congratulated the bank for its successful businesses in Vietnam and reiterated the government’s effort to ensure macro-economic stability and monetary policy stabilization. He urged the HSBC to expand new businesses in Vietnam and promote British investment in the country.
