Putin said he had outlined the main tasks for Russia’s development in his recent federal message, but reiterated that Russia first needs to solve evolving problems within the framework of the special military campaign that is to strengthen its defense capabilities and armed forces.
He said he hopes for a strong, independent, sovereign Russia, adding that the election results will allow him and all Russians to achieve all of the goals he campaigned on. Putin said that Russia’s future government structure will be comprised of those currently participating in the special military operation in Ukraine.
In regard to relations with the West and the risk of direct conflict between Russia and NATO, Putin warned that anything can happen in the modern world. There may be a scenario in which the world will be only one step away from a full-blown third world war, said Putin, but no one wants such a scenario.
Leaders of many countries, including Vietnam, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia, and North Korea sent messages of congratulation to Putin on his re-election as President of Russia.
