(VOVworld) – A workshop opened in Hoi An city on Tuesday to review 2 years of implementing a project on responsible and sustainable tourism development in Vietnam’s central region.
The project followed a UN project in Quang Nam province, which was expanded to Thua Thien Hue province, targeting rural, remote, and ethnic areas. It has contributed significantly to ensuring local livelihoods and sustainable cultural and environmental development. It has also narrowed the gap of tourism development between regions, reduced poverty, created jobs, and increased incomes for local citizens.
