(VOVworld)- Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have discussed the situation in Ukraine, including Kiev's unwillingness to fulfill the Geneva agreements signed on April 17. They noted it was important to hold talks on gas supply security as soon as possible with the participation of representatives of Russia, the European Union and Ukraine, the Kremlin reports. President Vladimir Putin harshly condemned the attempts of the regime in Kiev to use armed forces against civilians in the southeast of the country. Meanwhile, Merkel expressed her deep concern about the tense situation in eastern Ukraine and asked Putin to give clear signs that Moscow completely supported agreements reached in Geneva.
