Quang Ninh province has closely worked with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to prepare venues, accommodation, medical care, catering and other services to serve nearly 2,000 guests to the event. Pham Ngoc Thuy, Head of Quang Ninh province’s Department of Tourism, said: “This is a golden opportunity for Quang Ninh promote its tourism and the image of Vietnam to the world. Preparations have been completed. We try our best to make ASEAN Tourism Forum 2019 a success”.

This will be the second time for Vietnam to host the ATF, after the first one 10 year ago. The ATF, established in 1981, is a regional effort to promote ASEAN as one tourist destination. The annual event involves  the tourism industries of all 10 member states.
