Rate of 3G use in Vietnam increases sharply in 2012
(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Post newspaper and the US’s Global Market Research company, Nielsen, have announced the results of a survey on 3G use in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh city in 2012.
The results show that 3G use has increased sharply. 60 percent of surveyed 3G users in the 3 cities said they use 3G everyday, an increase of 18 percent compared to 2011. Mobile phones are the most popular device for accessing 3G. Dang Thuy Ha, Nielsen Customer Service Director in the North of Vietnam said: "90 percent of customers say 3G helps them connect to the internet anytime and anywhere. Users have high expectations for the future development of 3G in Vietnam. They are optimistic about the development of 3G in Vietnam. 95 percent of 3G users say they will continue to use 3G in the future for its significant services".
