Red Cross campaign supports COVID-19-hit residents
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Red Cross Society’s Central Committee is running a campaign to help disadvantaged people who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The campaign, called “Connecting the community – overcoming challenges”, will be carried out from August to November 2021 with a peak time from mid-August to mid-September.
The Committee will use 190,000 USD from its reserve fund to support 20 localities, focusing on three activities: providing "Red Cross family bags" worth 22 USD each, providing meals to patients in difficult circumstances being treated at hospitals in Hanoi, and providing cash support to migrant workers in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi who have lost their jobs and are experiencing extreme financial hardship.
