Results of the fight against corruption reviewed

Delegates at the meeting agreed that the fight against corruption and negativity in the first half of 2023 and following the 13th National Party Congress has seen significant results and breakthroughs both at the central and local levels, gaining trust and praise from Party officials, Party members and the public.
Regarding key tasks of the committee in the remaining months of 2023 and beyond, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said: “The situation is forecast to continue to be difficult. We need to be more resolute, flexible, determined, and patient and implement more practical, effective policies and mechanisms. More importantly, functional agencies need to work closely in the fight against corruption and negativity. We have done well so far but need to be better. We need more mechanisms and policies to prevent corruption and negativity from far and early.”
The Steering Committee agreed on the need to institutionalize the Party guidelines and State policies on fighting corruption, strengthen communications and education, and promote the culture of righteousness among Party members and the people. They stressed the need to uphold the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the press and the people in the fight against corruption.
