Revised Penal Code passed
(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly on Tuesday passed the revised Penal Code with a highlight being ages subject to penal liability.

The new Penal Code stipulates that persons aged from 14 to under 16 bear penal liability for very serious crimes or particularly serious crimes committed. The change is consistent to Vietnam’s policy and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Earlier, lawmakers debated the revised Law on Fisheries, which encourages offshore aquaculture. The current National Assembly session will end on Wednesday.
