It says that at 9:30 AM, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will cross the military demarcation line on foot to the South Korean side, where he will be greeted by South Korean President Moon Jae-in. Kim will be the first North Korean leader to cross the demarcation line. Soon after, a welcome ceremony will be held between the Freedom House and the Peace House. Kim will be saluted by South Korean honor guards before the 2 leaders move to the Peace House, where they will sign the visitors' book and have photos taken. They will then hold morning talks in a meeting room on the 2nd floor of the building. The 2 leaders are scheduled to sign a written agreement afterwards.
White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders on Wednesday said North Korea was "moving in the right direction" on the issue of Korean Peninsula denuclearization. She said President Trump “wants to have the ability to sit down and have these conversations” with the Korean side. She reiterated that the United States will not let up on the maximum pressure campaign against Pyongyang until the US sees some of the words that they’ve made turn into concrete action.
