(VOVworld) - South Korean President Park Geun-hye has instructed security officials to maintain military readiness against possible provocations from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Park, at a meeting of top military intelligence and police officials at the presidential office, said the military should deter DPRK provocations by maintaining a firm military preparedness at a time when security on the Korean Peninsula is increasingly unpredictable. She said the DPRK has continued threats of provocations while demanding various preconditions be set on South Korea's dialogue offer.
