(VOVWORLD) -Speaker of the Republic of Korea's National Assembly Kim Jin-pyo and his spouse concluded an official visit to Vietnam on Wednesday at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

During the visit, Mr. Kim and his entourage met with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and held talks with National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
Mr. Kim expressed his hope that the two countries will continue to promote achievements in politics, economy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges, defense, and security. He praised Vietnam's role in new regional strategies and initiatives, including the Korea-ASEAN Solidarity Initiative.
He agreed to continue contributing to the strong and effective relations between the two countries over the next 30 years.
The Korean delegation visited Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh province, and Hai Phong city.
