(VOVworld) - The Republic of Korea-Vietnam Forum for the Future opened in Seoul on Thursday to discuss ways to achieve stronger growth in each country and closer bilateral ties.
This year’s forum, the second of its kind, was attended by 12 Vietnamese delegates led by Professor Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and more than 20 RoK delegates led by President of the Korea International Exchange Fund Yu Hyun-seok.

Professor Thang said the event opened up dialogue opportunities for scholars of both countries to put forth ideas to strengthen the bilateral relationship and co-operation in the international arena.
Korean authorities spoke highly of the fruitful relations in recent years, saying they back the acceleration of strategic partnership between Seoul and Hanoi.
Discussions focused on economic and foreign affairs co-operation, the Korean Peninsula, the regional political situation, bilateral cultural issues, and solutions for a sustainable partnership.
